To accommodate work being done on the roof of Sterchi Lofts and the deployment of a large crane, the 100 block of South Gay Street, between Jackson and Vine avenues, will be closed Tuesday, April 16, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The crane will be temporarily erected in front of Sterchi Lofts as part of renovation work. The crane will be dismantled and removed the same day.
Residents, employees, shoppers and diners will continue to have full access to buildings on the street during the temporary street closure.
Motorists will be detoured using Summit Hill Drive, Central Street and Jackson Avenue to bypass the Gay Street work area during the day.
