As a follow-up to the advisory issued last week, KUB wastewater system work along the section of Third Creek Greenway just west of S. Concord Street will no longer require a full trail closure.
In agreement with City of Knoxville Parks and Recreation, KUB and its contractor have revised plans to allow the trail to remain open with slight diversions in the areas where crews will be working - see map below.
Work is set to begin on Monday, June 17, 2019 and last continuously through Friday, June 28 (weather permitting), as part of a wastewater collection system pipeline and manhole rehabilitation project in this area.
Appropriate signs and barricades will be in place to alert trail users of upcoming path changes. KUB and City of Knoxville Parks and Recreation asks trail users to be mindful of the presence of construction equipment, materials, vehicles, and workers in these areas.
