With vaccination numbers rising, it is easy to let our guard down, but we must remain vigilant.
We also want to make sure The Center has the most updated employee health records, so I want to run through how you can help.
First, the Mayor’s latest executive order instructed notification of vaccinations be sent to the City’s Health & Wellness Center. That means all City employees who have completed the 2-dose COVID vaccine series or 1-dose J&J vaccine should fax, email, interoffice, or drop off a copy of their vaccination card to The Center.
You can notify the Center through the following channels:
Email:
[email protected]
Fax: 865-215-6159
Address: 3131 Morris Ave, Knoxville, TN 37909
Interoffice: Send to Public Works Complex, The Center, Attn: Nikki Watson
If you email a copy of the card, please make sure it is a PDF and not a picture.

Second, remember there is still a risk in our community.
• Continue to limit indoor activities
• Avoid nonessential travel
• Avoid events with large gatherings
• Consider outdoor activities
• Work remotely when possible
• Keep Practicing the 5 Core Actions:
- Wear a Mask
- Stay 6 feet apart
- Wash your hands
- Sanitize surfaces
- Stay home if sick
Keep in mind, under a new order signed by the Mayor, a City employee may now take paid leave when getting a COVID-19 vaccination or recovering from any side effects from a COVID-19 vaccination.
To request COVID-19 vaccination leave, contact Employee Benefits and Risk Management at 865-215-2111.
The finish line is in sight. Let’s all do our part, and stay the course!
