City of Knoxville offices will be closed Monday, Sept. 6 for the Labor Day holiday. Waste Connections will operate on its normal schedule. Garbage in the downtown area will be picked up from 8 a.m. to noon Monday.
The Solid Waste facility on Elm Street will be closed. The following recycling centers will be open: 5425 Clinton Highway; 5003 Broadway; 4918 Kingston Pike (Knox Plaza); and 9395 Kingston Pike (Market Place).
