Starting November 7, 2004, US Airways Express will launch nonstop service between Knoxville's McGhee Tyson Airport and Philadelphia International Airport. Using a fleet of 50-seat CRJ regional jets, US Airways Express will offer East Tennessee passengers three daily flights into the City of Brotherly Love.
"Philadelphia has always been a very popular destination for us," said Kirk Huddleston, Chairman of the Metropolitan Knoxville Airport Authority's Board of Commissioners. "The city is a great choice for our market because of its healthy business community and its historical significance to our country and its founding fathers."
We are pleased to restore nonstop Philadelphia service, giving our Knoxville passengers one-stop service to over 110 destinations in the US Airways network, including 17 in the Caribbean and 8 in Europe," said Andrew P. Nocella, US Airways vice president of network and revenue management.
