The City of Knoxville will offer swimming lessons at its Dr. E.V. Davidson Community Center beginning Monday, May 23 in preparation for the May 28 opening of its outdoor pools.
The Learn to Swim workshop is a two-week session and will be conducted Monday through Friday from 6 to 7 p.m.
Children attending eight out of the ten sessions will receive a certificate. Cost is $25.
The Dr. E.V. Davidson Community Center is located at 3124 Wilson Ave. For more information about the lessons, call 254-3747.
The City's two pools are the Inskip Pool, located at 4204 Bruhin Road, and the Ed Cothren Pool, located at 1737 Reynolds St. Cost at Inskip is $3 for adults and children; and at Ed Cothren, $3 for adults and $2 for children 12 and under.
