Say hello to Parks and Recreation Administrative Supervisor Angie Davidson!
Davidson is a member of the City’s Consolidated Charities planning team, and she recently ended a term serving on the Mayor’s Council of Disability Issues. This week, she was honored as an Employee Advocate at the Diversity Business Enterprise Awards for her efforts to encourage her City colleagues to do business with small, women-owned and minority-owned businesses.
“When I say my family LOVES the Vols, I mean it,” she says, explaining that “Oskie” is a term used by a defensive player when he intercepts the ball to let his teammates know to block and protect the interception play.
Angie loves foods with a kick and eats a gluten-free diet since being diagnosed with Celiac Disease three years ago.
She is afraid of heights but makes herself ride Dollywood’s Drop Line ride every time her family visits the park. “I love it…go figure!”
Thanks to Angie (and Oskie) for participating in our Who Can It Be Now feature in City Matters. If you'd like to be considered for an upcoming issue, please email
