PBS KIDS Sprout, the first and only 24-hour preschool destination available on TV, on demand and online for kids ages 2-5 and their parents and caregivers, and several of its popular characters will visit Knoxville Zoo on July 22, 2006.
Sponsored by Comcast, “PBS KIDS Sprout Day at Knoxville Zoo” will bring Barney, the big, lovable purple dinosaur, Jay Jay the Jet Plane, Noddy and Zoboo from Zoboomafoo to Knoxville's largest attraction to meet visitors and pose for photos at various locations throughout the zoo. Children and their parents will also be invited to participate in a scavenger hunt where they will be given a passport to take with them to five designated stations.
Each station will have a stamp to mark the passport. At the end of the hunt, the kids will receive a certificate and Sprout gift pack. A gift basket drawing will also take place in the East Tennessee Plaza. Visitors are encouraged to bring a copy of their current Comcast billing statement to receive a free child's admission with a paid adult admission or $5 off a Knoxville Zoo annual membership.
A current Comcast account statement must be presented at the time of purchase to receive the discount. Limit two free children's admissions per statement. Valid on July 22, 2006 only. Not good with any other discounts, coupons or promotions.
