The City of Knoxville, Department of Policy and Communications, announces the following personnel changes.
Madeleine Weil, deputy director, has resigned to accept a job at the Environmental Law and Policy Center in Chicago, Illinois. Ms. Weil will work part time with the dept, until July 1.
Anne Wallace, Cumberland Avenue Project Manager will expand her concentration on planning and design functions in Downtown and the city core.
Erin Burns, Sustainability Coordinator, will coordinate and administer the Solar America Cities project and will be the coordinator for the work of the Energy and Sustainability Task force, which is co-chaired by William Lyons and Madeline Rogero.
Hannah Parker, previously with the Mayor's office, will move to full time in Policy and Communications with the title of Policy Analyst and Downtown Coordinator. Ms. Parker, who served as a legislative intern for the General Assembly, will assist Lyons with relationships with state and federal government. Additionally, she will coordinate the city's efforts in downtown.
Bob Whetsel, Director of Redevelopment, will remain in charge of core city development.
Rick Emmett serves as Urban Growth Manager, in charge of annexation and coordination of engineering work in the core city area.
