Feel like doing a little grazing, trying out a new watering hole, and shaking your tail feathers? Then join Knoxville Zoo for Feast with the Beasts on Saturday, August 20, from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m. for a wildly good time at one of the zoo's biggest annual fundraisers.
Guests can eat, drink and dance their way throughout the zoo for the evening, sampling some very tasty food and drinks from more than 30 restaurants, wineries, breweries and distributors. Adventurous eaters can enjoy a variety of cuisines to suit all types of palates, from appetizers to desserts. Participating vendors include Bayou Bay Seafood House, Highland Brewing Company, Puleo's Grille, Bean's Creek Winery, Brixx Pizza, Ole Smoky Distillery, O'Charley's, Sapphire Knoxville, Latitude 35, Blue Coast Burrito and Smoky Mountain Brewery, just to name a few. Music on three stages promises to keep the evening lively. Second Opinion will entertain on the main Plaza stage, playing danceable music from classics to contemporary hits. Dream On Alice will rock the Kids Cove stage with hits from the 70's to the present and Homemade Wine will be playing songs for those who are on "island time" on the Animal Encounter Village stage. Tuatha Dea Drum Nation will be inspiring the inner drummer in everyone with a special drum experience.
Tickets for Feast with the Beasts are $60 per person in advance and $70 the day of the event. Zoo members receive a $5 discount. Want to bring the whole herd? Buy nine tickets and get the tenth ticket free! Tickets are on sale at area ORNL Federal Credit Union branches and Knoxville Zoo's ticket window during zoo hours.
