With weather permitting, KUB's contractor will implement a lane closure on a section of Neyland Drive between Lake Loudoun Boulevard and Leinard Lane on Tuesday, August 2, from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. for wastewater system construction.
One westbound lane and both eastbound lanes of Neyland Drive will remain open.
Some listed closures may extend beyond the scheduled times depending on the conditions encountered during excavation and construction. Appropriate traffic control measures will be in place at each location to assist motorists traveling in these areas. Due to the ongoing presence of workers and equipment, motorists are advised to use extreme caution and expect temporary delays in these areas.
Effective July 1, 2011 Tennessee's Move Over Law requires motorists approaching a utility vehicle with flashing lights to move over if safe to do so, creating an empty lane buffer. When changing lanes is not possible, motorists must reduce speed.
KUB is a municipal utility serving Knox and parts of seven adjacent counties and provides electric, gas, water, and wastewater services to more than 439,000 customers.
