Knoxville is currently hosting the Wing Ding for thousands of Goldwing motorcycle riders.

There will be several temporary road closures as hundreds of Gold Wing motorcylists join each other for a parade across town at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, July 8. The Wing Ding Grand Parade will start in the southeast parking lot of West Town Mall (near JCPenny's parking area). They will travel from West Town Mall, through West Knoxville, downtown, and then end at the Knoxville Zoo.

These roads will be effected:

Gleason RoadMorrell Road, Westland Drive Northshore Drive Lyons View Road Kingston Pike (through Sequoyah Hills) Neyland Drive Hall of Fame Drive Magnolia Ave. Lakeside Drive Knoxville Zoo Drive

The east bound lanes of these roads will be closed while the parade passes, then they will be immediately reopened.

The parade will take approximately 2 hours, and traffic will be impacted during those times. Knoxville Police will be on hand directing traffic around the parade. The parade will be similar to a rolling-road block, and as the motorcycles pass a road, the road will be reopened.
