The International Biscuit Festival in Knoxville, TN has been named a 2013 Event to Watch by the American Bus Association. The ABA evaluated nominations for the Top 100 Events in North America, and selected the festival as a new motorcoach friendly event to watch.
"The attractiveness of the International Biscuit Festival as a don't-miss entertainment value is only part of why its selection this year is such a distinction for Knoxville," said Peter J. Pantuso, CTIS, ABA's president and CEO. "The honor gives Knoxville an important boost in visibility among professional tour planners."
The Event to Watch selections will be listed alongside the Top 100 Events in North America list as a supplement to the September/October issue of Destinations magazine.
"This is a great recognition for the International Biscuit Festival," said Kim Bumpas, President of Visit Knoxville. "The festival has continued to grow every year and brings in visitors from all over to enjoy all things biscuit. The festival's mix of entertainment, activities, contests, and much more make it an event not to miss."
The ABA celebrates more than 31 years of the annual Top 100 Events in North America guide. This list has grown to be one of the most sought-after lists by travel professionals, motorcoach operators and the general public. Other Events to Watch for 2013 include To Kill A Mockingbird in Montgomery, Alabama, the Johnny Cash Music Festival in Jonesboro, Arkansas, the Saltwater Celtic Music Festival in Waterville, Maine, the Whoopie Pie Festival in Strasburg, Pennsylvania, and Balloons Over Anderson in Anderson, South Carolina.
