Knoxville Mayor Madeline Rogero spoke with students from the Unviersity of Tennessee's Business Education for Talented Students (BETS) program today.
BETS is a one-week summer residential program that introduces high-school students from diverse backgrounds to the dynamic world of business; students interact with professionals from business and government both on campus and in their work environment.
The BETS program began during the summer of 2008.
In addition to the Mayor, several City Directors spoke with the students to share what goes on with City operations, business, and public service.
