Today Comcast announced their continuation of Internet Essentials which is a broadband adoption program designed to help close the digital divide for low-income Americans.
Additionally Comcast presented the Haslam Family Boys & Girls Club with a $20,000 check for its Club Tech program. Club Tech allows children to develop technology skills and enhance their reading, science and math through supervised workshops in Internet safety, photography, music composition and movie making.
Mayor Rogero participated in the presentation with Roman Stewart and Jayda Cole (front); Russell Byrd, Sr. Director of Government and Public Affairs for Comcast;, Lisa Hurst of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tennessee Valley; State Sen. Becky Duncan Massey; and Corum Webb of the Tennessee Cable Telecommunications Association.
