Traffic on Cherokee Trail in South Knoxville will be affected by road construction for the next two months.
The Cherokee Trail Drainage Improvements Project is scheduled to begin Monday, Sept. 23rd, weather permitting, and finish in November.
The work consists of drainage improvements, construction of a soil nail wall, and the relocation of a water line on Cherokee Trail between Cherokee Bluff Drive and Edington Road.
One-lane closures are expected throughout the duration of the project. However, both lanes of travel will be maintained during the morning peak hours between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m.
