Mayor Rogero met with members of the Knoxville Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals today to present them a proclamation for Administrative Professionals Week.
Members of the Knoxville Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) receive a proclamation to mark Administrative Professionals Week. Mayor Rogero presented the proclamation at her office with her executive assistant Terry Alexander (left). IAAP Chapter members are: Former president Theresa Gervin; president Tina Piatt; director Treva Best; and vice president Cindy Lay. They are all Certified Administrative Professionals.
Professional Secretaries Week began in 1952 in an effort to draw attention to the advantages of a secretarial career and to attract new secretaries to the profession.
In the year 2000, this week was renamed Administrative Professionals Week to acknowledge the changing job titles and expanding responsibilities of today's administrative workforce.
