On June 22, 2022, hundreds of people came out to learn more about doing business with the City of Knoxville.
The 13th annual Business Breakfast at Chilhowee Park was a huge success.
Upcoming projects, valued at more than $90 million, were discussed.
Pamela Cotham, Assistant Purchasing Agent and Small Business and Diversity Outreach Office manager said, “This is an invaluable annual event for area businesses, particularly small, women-owned, minority-owned, service disabled veteran-owned and businesses owned by persons with disabilities. This one morning can really help provide a better understanding of how to compete for contracts with the City of Knoxville.”
The program included presentations by 9 City departments and 4 partner agencies:
• Knoxville's Community Development Corporation (KCDC)
• The Public Building Authority (PBA)
• Knoxville Area Transit (KAT)
• And, The Knoxville Utilities Board (KUB)
This was the first time this event was held in person since 2019.
