Trees Rock! Looking Ahead to Urban Forestry in the New Year

Posted: 12/16/2022
Holiday tree along Gay St.While we're rockin' around the Christmas tree now, we're also looking forward to the many trees that will play a big role in the new year.

Our Urban Forestry team and Trees Knoxville recently introduced stakeholders and residents to the first phases of the Knoxville Urban Forest Master Plan, a long-term roadmap for increasing tree cover in all parts of the city.

The event, which included a welcome by Mayor Kincannon and a presentation by Urban Forester Kasey Krouse, was live streamed and archived here on YouTube

Additional City and Trees Knoxville partners in the master plan project include the Knoxville Utilities Board, the Tennessee Division of Forestry and Keep Knoxville  Beautiful.
