On Tuesday, November 19, 2013 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., city officials held the Downtown Summit to talk about the big picture of downtown Knoxville redevelopment.
The forum was held at the East Tennessee History Center, 601 S. Gay St.
Topics included what has happened in the past decade, what is happening now, and opportunities and challenges for the future.
There was presentation by City of Knoxville staff, a panel discussion about the experience of developers downtown, and lots of opportunity for public questions, comments and discussion.
The Downtown Summit was open to everyone, but especially encouraged to attend were downtown residents, business owners, property owners and anyone else with a strong interest in the future of downtown Knoxville.
