After completing your initial probationary period, you may be eligible for a one-time incentive pay upon earning your first associate's, bachelor's, or master's degree while employed with the City.

Public Service Loan Forgiveness: Ease Your Financial Burden
As an eligible employer under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program, the City of Knoxville can help you achieve loan forgiveness for your remaining Direct Loan balance. To qualify, you must make 120 qualifying monthly payments under an accepted repayment plan while working full-time for the City.

Recent Federal Announcements and Updates
The Biden-Harris Administration has recently announced the forgiveness of $7.4 billion in student loans for 277,000 people, including those enrolled in the SAVE Plan, those affected by loan servicer errors, and those working in public service jobs.
