Say "hey!" to Stormwater Engineer Charissa Oglesby!

Charissa has worked for the City for more than 21 years, completing tasks of varying degrees of what many of us might consider, in layman's terms, gross.
She and her team respond to emergencies like spills, flooding and sinkholes. They complete creek assessments, remediation and infrastructure maintenance. They respond to resident drainage complaints and determine solutions for those issues, place design drainage work orders, do watershed planning, detect illicit discharge, enforce municipal officer stormwater regulation, and teach the public how to keep toxic chemicals from getting into our streams and rivers -- which is where all stormwater ends up.
What is her title exactly? Her colleague George Nennstiel offers choices worthy of a Marvel hero or Hogwarts professor: Creek Commander, Water Quality Enforcer or Minister of Watershed Monitoring. Take your pick!
If you know Charissa (even a little) you know she likes cats; she has six of them, plus a husband and two kids.

She is originally from
Alabama, although she has lived in East Tennessee since she was six years old.
And even though she likes plenty of foods, she hates cinnamon. Go figure!
Charissa is a hoot and a half (not a government term) and a great colleague to know.
Thanks for all you do, Cha!
