The Knoxville Fire Department will host an open house event at the Downtown Fire Station located at 600 Summit Hill Ave. on Saturday, August 13 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Firefighters will be on hand to teach guests how to do CPR and how to utilize proper fire extinguishing techniques with a fire extinguisher simulator.
Guests can schedule smoke alarm installations, enjoy a truck and station tour and light refreshments.
There will be to fire helmets for the kids!
Firefighters will also be on hand to check blood pressures.
Members of the Knoxville Fire Department hope to educate the public by teaching these lifesaving skills and continuing to be a good neighbor to the citizens of Knoxville.
