CORRIDOR H - FIRST CREEK GREENWAY - BROADWAY
Corridor Route Description
The Corridor H greenway follows Broadway and is approximately 0.36 miles in length. The Corridor H greenway links the proposed First Creek Greenway at Fulton High School to the existing First Creek Greenway where Broadway crosses First Creek.
At its northern limit the Corridor H greenway connects to the proposed First Creek Greenway at the intersection of Broadway and Woodland. From this point the Corridor H greenway proceeds southward along the west side of Broadway to the intersection with Cecil Avenue as a 10-foot side path. The greenway crosses Broadway at Cecil Avenue and proceeds along the east side of Broadway as a 10-foot side path to the point where it connects with the existing First Creek Greenway.
Demolition in this corridor is expected to include removal of concrete wall, concrete curb and gutter, metal guardrail, asphalt pavement and concrete sidewalk. The typical trail cross section shall be 2” asphalt over 6” base stone. Curb ramps and greenway trail crosswalk pavement markings are provided at all street crossings. A cantilevered walkway is anticipated in this corridor along the walled portion of First Creek. Some curb and gutter and storm drainage improvements will be required. Limited brick and metal screen walls at selected parking lots is planned.
Greenway Connectivity
Corridor H connects at the northern terminus with the proposed First Creek Greenway from Fulton High School to Edgewood Park, a distance of approximately 0.60 miles. On the south the corridor connects to the existing 0.90 miles of the Upper First Creek Greenway. The completed sections of the First Creek greenway, including Corridor H, will link Edgewood Park and First Creek Park with approximately 1.90 miles of continuous greenway trails.
