City offices and recreation centers will be closed on Monday, May 29, for the Memorial Day holiday, but Waste Connections’ pickup of garbage and recyclables will continue as regularly scheduled.
Collection of downtown trash and recyclables also will run on regular schedules, and City recycling centers will be open as normally scheduled. However, Goodwill Industries attendants will not be available for household goods donations on Monday.
The City’s Solid Waste Management Facility, 1033 Elm St., will be closed Saturday through Monday.
Waste Connections operates garbage and recycling operations in the City of Knoxville on all holidays, except for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
