How Our Swimming Lessons Work:  What to Expect
Swimming lessons are eight session and run Monday to Thursday over a two-week span.  On the first day of lessons, all students will be pre-tested and placed in groups based on their skill level.  Class offerings may vary depending on interest and demand.  If your child has previous experience in our program, please bring their achievement book on the first day of class or be sure to list their last completed level when registering.  Additionally, please inform us of any necessary accommodations prior to the start of lessons so we can plan accordingly.  Check for details for program levels and placement information with the links, and "Explore" the section below:

Preschool Aquatics
Preschool Aquatics is for children around 4 and 5 years old.  This program teaches basic water safety and swimming skills in a fun, child-friendly way.

There are three levels in Preschool Aquatics:
Level 1 - No skills needed to start.
Level 2 and 3 - Children must show they can do skills from the previous level before moving up.

At the first class, all children will be assessed to see which level is best for them.

When children finish Pre-school Aquatics, they can move on to the Learn-to-Swim Program
If your child finishes Level 1 or 2 and is 6 years old, they can either continue in Preschool Aquatics or move to Learn-to-Swim Level 2
If your child finishes Level 3, they can move to Learn-to-Swim Level 2

Learn-to-Swim
Learn-to-Swim helps kids and young teens learn how to be safe in the water and swim.  There are 6 levels, each teaching more advanced skills.
Level 1: Introduces kids to the water and teaches basic skills
As they move through the levels, children will learn different ways to swim and become more confident in the water
After Level 3, your child will have basic swimming skills
By the end of Level 6, your child will be ready for more advanced swimming or activities like competitive swimming

The program is for children ages 6 & up, but there is no maximum age.  There are no prerequisites for Level 1.  For Levels 2-6, children need to show they can do the skills from the previous level before moving on.

Adult Swim Lessons
This class is for adults who want to get comfortable in the water.  We start with shallow water and gradually move to deeper water.  If you want more of a challenge, we can adjust the class to meet your needs.
