George is a life-long resident of Knoxville, TN. He graduated from West High School ('76) and The University of Tennessee with a B.S. in Agriculture ('81). He joined Wallace & Wallace, Realtors in 1983 and now along with his brother, is co-owner of Coldwell Banker Wallace & Wallace, Realtors (CBWW).
George has worked as a volunteer for several non-profit organizations including the Knoxville Area Association of Realtors, United Way and Knox Housing Partnership. The Knoxville Area Association of Realtors named him their Realtor of the Year in 2010.
Currently, George serves on the following boards for non-profits: Metro Drug Coalition, Williams Creek/1st Tee of Knoxville, Ijams, Monday Trustees and is a Deacon at Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church.
In November 2011 George was elected to Knoxville City Council, At Large Seat A. In 2015 he was reelected to a 2nd term. On December 16, 2017, he was selected as Beer Board Chairman.
George is married to Stephanie Wallace who is a retired Knox County School Teacher. They have one son, Nick. They reside in Bearden.
