The Public Service Department services the city's storm drain system.
This includes the drain pipes, grates, and surrounding ditches that feed the drain. We routinely inspect and clean storm drains within the city.
In addition, the Public Service Division constructs culverts under the supervision of
Engineering's Stormwater Section.
When heavy rains cause flooding, and storm drains clog from debris, the Public Service Division responds with an emergency crew to assist in clearing the debris and reopening the drain.
To report a clogged ditch or drain, call 3-1-1 or 865-215-4311.
Please remember that it is the responsibility of the property owner with creeks running through private property to clean the overgrowth.
