How do I buy tickets?

For baseball, visit the Knoxville Smokies website to buy tickets, plan your visit, or get team news or a season schedule: www.milb.com/knoxville

Where do I park?

Boyd Sports is providing (and encouraging) pre-paid and reserved parking at the Langley and Summer Place garages, which includes a free bus shuttle between the two garages and Covenant Health Park.

Boyd Sports is paying for the shuttle services to baseball games, and anyone downtown can ride and get dropped right outside the stadium. Besides Langley and Summer Place, the City's Market Square and Locust Street garages are steps away from the shuttle bus stop.

For baseball fans who pre-pay, the cost to park in the Langley and Summer Place reserved spaces is $5 – the same parking fee charged last season at Smokies Stadium in Kodak.

Boyd Sports, the City of Knoxville and Knox County have announced a collaborative game-day parking plan that features more than 1,500 dedicated parking spaces (1,100 for the general public and 400 for staff, vendor and season-ticket holders).

In addition, there are about 7,400 affordable or free parking spaces within 8/10 of a mile at publicly-owned garages, surface lots or on-street facilities.

For additional information, click here to view a parking news release and map from Covenant Health Park.

The 1,500 dedicated, reserved spaces is comparable to the amount of parking at the Smokies’ former stadium in Kodak.

A stadium sellout crowd roughly would require less than 1/3 – or 2,800 parking spaces – of the total 8,900 spaces that are available near the stadium. (That’s based on a parking ratio of 2.5 fans per vehicle. Smokies Stadium in Kodak had estimated 3 fans per vehicle.)

Will garages have enough capacity?

There are nearly 7,400 affordable or free parking spaces within walking distance of Covenant Health Park. But when stadium events get added into the downtown entertainment mix, how often will downtown garages fill up?

Answer: It's a rarity for even the most popular garages to reach anywhere near capacity. And garages used less frequently always have unused parking spaces.

For example, the 1,497-space State Street Garage typically has about 400 empty available spaces even during peak hours.

At the Dwight Kessel Garage, just a few blocks to the south, roughly 500 spaces on average are available even when demand is at its highest.

What about park-and-walk options?

Parking at Langley and Summer Place garages, and riding the shuttle, is recommended.

But if you prefer to park and walk, the City’s State Street Garage and West Jackson Avenue surface lot are a 10-minute walk to Covenant Health Park. Some public on-street and surface lot parking is even closer.

It’s a 15-minute walk between either the Market Square, Locust Street, Langley or Summer Place garages and the stadium – and a 20-minute walk from the Dwight Kessel garage, which consistently has plenty of available parking.

Other than ADA-accessibility parking, the lots off Jackson Avenue beneath James White Parkway and Hall of Fame Drive will not be available for public parking on game days.

Where can I find ADA parking?

The Old City South Lot B, directly across the street from Covenant Health Park, will have 70 reserved ADA-accessible spaces. Parking is free for vehicles with valid disability license plates, placards or decals.

All shuttle buses and public garages and lots also have free ADA-accessible spaces.

Also, the new elevators installed in 2019 at State Street Garage make it easier for anyone with mobility issues to park there and access the flat sidewalks along Central Street.

Where can I park my bicycle or scooter?

There will be parking for bikes and scooters at the Old City South Lot A, beneath James White Parkway and Hall of Fame Drive.

Are any streets closing?

To improve traffic flow on game days, Central Street will be closed to vehicles between Jackson Avenue and Willow Avenue.

Willow will only be open to shuttle buses and motorists accessing ADA-accessibility parking, and it will be westbound only from Summit Hill to Central during stadium events.

Jackson will be converted to one-way west-to-east traffic when major events are happening at the stadium.

You'll pass lots of tempting choices even before you reach the stadium. Dozens of trees will green up the new public spaces around the stadium. The four plazas surrounding Covenant Health Park are, combined, considerably bigger than downtown's Market Square, and a prominent water feature will be incorporated into the west-side plaza entrance. Read More
