City Hosts Public Service Hiring Event Jan. 22

The City’s Public Works Department is hosting a first-of-its-kind hiring event on Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2025, at the Public Works Service Center at 3131 Morris Avenue, with the goal of hiring more than 20 entry-level Public Service employees. 

Hourly pay starts at a competitive $18, with benefits including on-the-job training and tuition reimbursement. Applicants must be at least 18 years old with a valid Tennessee driver’s license. 

Conditional employment offers will be made on site, based on applicants’ experience, background check review and interviews with staff.
