Knoxville's Urban Wilderness offers residents and
visitors access to a connected network of parks and
open spaces. Key park nodes are being completed to
connect people to these unique outdoor experiences.

Reconnecting Knoxville
Through a $42.6 million dollar grant from USDOT the
Reconnecting Knoxville Advisory Team is working to
implement multimodal networks, a cultural corridor
and a parkway connector to mitigate physical barriers
caused by urban renewal.

Knoxville is bringing baseball back to the urban core. With the first pitch planned for spring of 2025, the
Covenant Health Park will be the new home of minor
league baseball and professional soccer, as well as an
extension of downtown and an economic catalyst. |

Refreshing the inventory and analysis of public spaces
that serve all will better position Knoxville to seek grant
funding opportunities and partnerships to improve,
manage, and extend public assets . |
Pedestrian Bridge
The pedestrian bridge will create safe alternative
access across the Tennessee River reflecting the South
Waterfront Vision Plan, while increasing connectivity to
the City's multimodal corridors North and South of the
