The Knoxville City Council named a Pension Task Force to review, analyze and evaluate the sustainability of the current city pension system and, if necessary, to offer advice and recommendations to City Council pertaining to maintaining and enhancing the long-term viability and sustainability of that system.

Appointment of Task Force Members

The 13 members of the Task Force were appointed by City Council.

Veenita Bisaria
Senior Manager, Strategy and Competitive Intelligence, Tennessee Valley Authority; Undergraduate degree from St. Xavier's College, Ranchi, India, with major in Economics; MBA from the University of Denver; Chartered Financial Analyst; Founding member of the Knoxville Society of Chartered Financial Analysts.

Art Cate
Chief Operating Officer for Knoxville Community Development Corporation (KCDC); Trustee, Housing Authority Retirement Trust; Vice-Chair, Tennessee Housing Authority Risk Management; Past President of Tennessee Association of Housing and Redevelopment Agencies; Graduate of University of Tennessee.

City Police Department Representative

Bob Cross, Co-Chair
President of the Southeast Region of USI Consulting Group; Undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee and a Master's Degree in Actuarial Science from Georgia State University. Member of the American Academy of Actuaries and a Fellow of the Conference of Actuaries.
