Serving more than three million passengers last year, KAT operates the public bus system for the city of Knoxville. 

The bus service is comprised of more than 20 fixed routes, trolleys serving downtown and the university area and transportation for persons with disabilities. KAT has a fleet of state-of-the-art buses and trolleys of various sizes which are wheelchair accessible and bicycle rack equipped. KAT offers a variety of special programs including discounted bus passes, Sports Shuttles (to UT home football games) and active participation in special events.
