East Knoxville is home to the iconic and historically significant Chilhowee Park. This site which has annually hosted the Tennessee Valley Fair and exhibits at the Jacob Building, with daily activities experienced at the Muse and Zoo Knoxville for year round visitors, has adapted to various cultural and environmental conditions over the years. The vision for Chilhowee Park's future is now being reimagined by its community members for generations to enjoy. The Chilhowee Park Advisory Group (CPAG) has been formed to begin shaping the framework to begin guiding these efforts. |

Urban Wilderness
Knoxville's Urban Wilderness offers residents and
visitors access to a connected network of parks and
open spaces.
Key park nodes are being completed to
connect people to these unique outdoor experiences.

Stadium
Knoxville is bringing baseball back to the urban core.
With the first pitch planned for spring of 2025, the
Covenant Health Park will be the new home of minor
league baseball and professional soccer, as well as an
extension of downtown and an economic catalyst. |

Refreshing the inventory and analysis of public spaces
that serve all will better position Knoxville to seek grant
funding opportunities and partnerships to improve,
manage, and extend public assets.

Pedestrian Bridge
The pedestrian bridge will create safe alternative
access across the Tennessee River reflecting the South
Waterfront Vision Plan, while increasing connectivity to
the City's multimodal corridors North and South of the
river.

South Waterfront - Down River Master Planning
The Connectivity Framework Study builds on the progress and investment within the original South Waterfront Redevelopment Area. This study recognizes completed public and private development efforts and ongoing projects while identifying and prioritizing new opportunities for greater connectivity.
