Join us for a day dedicated to
breaking down stigma, building support, and empowering our community around youth mental health. This summit brings together young people, parents, and families to learn, connect, and take action for stronger mental well-being.
Mayor’s Youth Council members will lead the teen track, and mental health providers will lead our parent/family track.
Lunch is included, and youth will have a coping strategies and recreation session 12:30-1:30pm during additional parent sessions.
Session Topics Include: Healthy Relationships and Boundaries, Emotion Recognition and Management, Substance Misuse and Eating Disorders, Suicide, Domestic Violence, Peer Support, Social media, Coping Strategies, Mindfulness, Protective Factors, and more!

The first Empower Knox Youth Summit was held on November 19, 2022, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Main Assembly Room of the City County Building (400 Main St.)
The Youth Summit is a day-long workshop for the youth of Knoxville to voice their concerns and solutions around mental health, violence prevention, homelessness and civic engagement.
