The City of Knoxville Parks and Recreation Department will host FREE outdoor basketball leagues in Harriet Tubman Park and Lonsdale Park this spring.
The leagues will be for adults and high school students and will be held April 1 through May 22 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
"Outdoor league basketball is a great form of recreation that we are bringing back to Knoxville," said Joe Walsh, Director of Knoxville Parks and Recreation. "It's a great way to get in shape and enjoy a little friendly competition at the same time."
Games will be self-officiated. Participants may register for the Harriet Tubman League at Cal Johnson Recreation Center or for the Lonsdale League at Lonsdale Recreation Center March 24-31 from 5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Day-of-registration will also be available for both leagues.
