The former University of Tennessee Lady Volunteers and United States Olympic Team pitcher Monica Abbott will conduct an instructional clinic for young players at Caswell Park.
When: 11:15 a.m., Tuesday, September 9

She will be joined by some teammates from the U.S. Olympic squad for the clinic which will include instruction in all aspects of the game including pitching, hitting, fielding and base running.
Details about the clinic will be available at the press event and Abbott will also be available for interviews.
Abbott compiled a 189-34 career record in leading UT to the NCAA's College World Series in 2005, 2006 and 2007 and led the NCAA Division I in victories each of her four seasons at UT. A key member of the United States' silver medal-winning softball team she was USA Softball's National Collegiate Player of the Year in 2007.
