Signups for City adult softball leagues will begin Monday, February 25, with other adult, youth and senior baseball and softball spring league signups following at various dates during the next few weeks.

In addition the City is partnering with Doyle Academy to host a youth baseball and softball camp on, Saturday March 15, at Caswell Park.  
 
The City offers spring leagues for all ages and skill levels including youth softball and baseball; 18 & under baseball, adult baseball, adult softball and senior softball.

A new co-ed softball league will be offered this year for women ages 55 and up and for men, 60 and up. This non-competitive league is free for the participants and games will be played in the mornings.

In addition the City recreation commissions are offering various youth baseball and softball leagues. For more information about these leagues please contact your local commissioner. The 2008 Commissioners List is posted at www.cityofknoxville.org/recreation.asp.

Finally if your child's game is rusty after a winter of being cooped up indoors the City and Doyle Academy have teamed up to host a baseball and softball camp for players ages 6 and up, on Saturday, March 15, at Caswell Park.

Early tuition is $40 per player and it goes to $60 per player after March 7.

There will also be a coach's camp on the same day and the cost is $25 per coach.

"We're excited to partner with Doyle Academy to host these camps," said Joe Walsh, director of the City's Parks and Recreation Division. "The City offers nearly 70 quality ball fields and we encourage kids and adults alike to participate in the fun, healthy and team-building sports."
