Fish Hospitality Pantries to Collect Dog and Cat Food at Movies on Market Square Friday

Posted: 10/06/2009
Knox County Public Library's outdoor movie series continues this Friday, October 9th on Market Square with a showing of Wallace and Gromit in the Curse of the Were-Rabbit (G). The movie begins at dusk, around 7:45 p.m., and will end before 10 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public. The Library will be accepting donations of much-needed canned or dry dog and cat food for FISH Hospitality Pantries at the event, as well as at all library locations from October 6-9th. Fish provides food to hungry families and (with your help) their pets too. Please note, this is NOT a food for fines event.

Wallace and Gromit in the Curse of the Were-Rabbit is a fun filled children's story featuring Wallace and his loyal dog, Gromit, as they set out to discover the mystery behind the garden sabotage that plagues their village and threatens the annual giant vegetable growing contest. Wallace and Gromit in the Curse of the Were-Rabbit is sponsored by Pet Safe.

Catch the last movie, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (PG 13), on October 16.

The Library started this annual movie series to highlight its vast collection of film, music and audiobooks. Check out www.knoxlib.org for the weekly schedule, and other details, or call 215-8767 for more information. All films are PG-13 or less, but parents are encouraged to read reviews to make sure the films are good for their families.

Movies on Market Square is made possible through the generous support of Pilot Corporation, Downtown Knoxville, Pet Safe, The Tomato Head, The Trust Company, Lunar Cinemas, Metro Pulse, B97.5, and WBIR TV 10.
