July 8, 2014 - Interested in solar energy? Visit SPECTRUM, the University of Tennessee's interactive solar energy exhibit, at Knoxville Center Mall (Level 2 next to JCPenney) on Saturday, July 19 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for a free community event to learn anything and everything you've ever wanted to know about solar energy.
This event is FREE and open to the public. SPECTRUM shines a light on how solar energy is hard at work creating exciting jobs and helping to power states, including Tennessee. SPECTRUM is Tennessee's one-stop-shop for education about solar energy.
At 10:30 a.m., ARiES Energy will present information about installing solar panels on your home – the process, pay-back period, impact on electricity bills, and more! Tennessee Valley Authority will speak at 11:30 a.m. regarding its Green Power Providers program. Children's activities and games will take place from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. The Muse Knoxville will be on-hand to provide fun STEM activities. Representatives from all three organizations will be available for questions during the event.
