June 9, 2014 - The City of Knoxville Fire Department (KFD) is proud to be the hosting agency for the Southeastern Association of Fire Chiefs. This leadership conference will be in Knoxville June 18th - 20th at the Knoxville Convention Center.
"This is an outstanding opportunity for Knoxville and its firefighters to showcase our city," says Chief Stan Sharp. More than 350 Fire Chiefs from 10 southern states will convene in Knoxville to see the latest in firefighting technology, fire apparatus, tools/equipment, and discuss latest strategy tactics.
Visual opportunities for media covering the conference include the latest in Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), trucks, gadgets and other essential firefighting and rescue equipment. The best time to see and photograph these will be between 1:30 and 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 18th at KCC floor level exhibition hall. Conference organizers and SEAFC elected officials will be available for interviews.
