KORE Summer Camp
2024 Summer Camp Registration began on Tuesday, April 9th at 10:00 a.m.

Christenberry, Cumberland Estates, Deane Hill, Inskip-Norwood, Richard Leake, & West Haven are Full.
You may register for "wait list" but space only opens
if those who have signed up are not able to attend.

Summer Camp Registration
DATES June 3 - July 26 (no camp on June 19 or July 1-5)
AGES 6-12 (must be age 6 by 6/3/2024)
TEEN CAMP AGES 12-15 (must be age 12 by 6/3/2024)
DAYS / TIMES Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
2024 FEES CAMP REGISTRATION
• City Resident Registration Fee - $30 
($10 off if registered by May 24)
• Non-City Resident Fee - $60 
($10 off if registered by May 24)

WEEKLY FEE for 6-12 year old sites
• $40 for City Residents
$80 for Non-City Residents

TEEN CAMP WEEKLY FEE for 12-15 year olds
• $45 for City Residents
• $85 for Non-City Residents

The City of Knoxville Parks & Recreation Department is excited about a summer filled with fun, friends, and amazing experiences. Summer Camp is offered for children ages 6-12 years old at nine (9) community centers located across the city and one site with a teen camp for kids age 12-15 years old.

The Knoxville Outdoor Recreation Experience (KORE) program spans over 7 weeks in June and July (excluding June 19 and the week of July 1-5) and provides a wide variety of recreational activities while at the Center and includes field trips to outdoor pools and local attractions, such as Main Event, NASCAR Speedpark, Kentucky Splash Waterpark, and others. Lunch & snack served each day.

HOW TO SUBMIT WEEKLY FEE
Weekly fee is due by the Friday before.
For example, pay by Friday, June 16th for Week 3 (June 19-23)

LATE PAYMENT OF WEEKLY FEE
$5 Late Fee if pay weekly fee after Friday the week before camp begins
             

LATE PICKUP FEE
$1 per minute after pick-up time.  Due before child attends next day of camp.

SCHOLARHIPS
A limited number of scholarships are available for City residents.  See bottom of this page for more information.

SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION 2024
NOTE - ALL SCHOLARHIPS FOR 2024 HAVE BEEN AWARDED

(All scholarships for 2024 have been awarded.  If you have not been awarded, there are no funds remaining)

A limited number of full scholarships are available for qualifying families who live inside the City of Knoxville city limits. Scholarship applications must be submitted by June 1, 2024, however, a limited number of scholarships are available, so the funds may be claimed before June 1.

• Please register and pay online to save your spot at the camp location of your choice. If you choose not to register in advance, space at a site is not guaranteed.

• If scholarship is awarded, registration fee and weekly fee(s) will be refunded (or waived if approved before submitting payment and space in camp site available).The fee for an additional camp t-shirt ($15) is not covered by the scholarship.


SCHOLARSHIP PROCESS


Step 1 - Complete the KORE Summer Camp Scholarship Information Form.  CLICK HERE & FILL OUT FORM (2024 is available now)

Step 2 - Complete & submit Scholarship Application & Required documents to CAC. See Application Forms below for more information.


APPLICATION FORMS


• Form for First 3 in Household [PDF] - Form for First 3 People in Household. Page 2 has space for information of 2nd and 3rd person in household.

• Form for 4th & Additional People in Household [PDF] - If 4 or more in household, complete this Form for EACH additional person. There is space for 2 people per page.

Examples: If 2 in household, fill out 1st form. If 5 in household, fill out the 1st form and 2 on the 2nd form


REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION


• ID for head of household (driver’s license or other government-issued ID)

• Social security cards (all household members)

• Proof of Income (last 30 days)

• Proof of Residency / Address

• Name of KORE Summer Camp Site Planning to Attend

SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY
1) Applicant must be a resident of the City of Knoxville.

2) Scholarship eligibility is based on current participation in one of these programs (LIHEAP, SNAP (food stamps), Head Start, Section 8, Public Housing, or Families First) and/or based on your monthly household income.

OTHER CAMPS


ART CAMPS
The Knoxville Arts Center (KAC) offers half-day art camps during the summer months.  Each week there will be two different camps offered:  a morning session (9am-12pm) and an afternoon session (1pm-4pm), each session will take place Monday through Friday.  Each session will have a different theme.  Camps include: clay, drawing, painting, printmaking and so much more!  All materials are included in the price of the camp.  Campers can come to one session per week or both.

Ages: Sessions for ages varying from 8 to 15 years old
Dates: June & July.  See website for full schedule.

IJAMS NATURE CENTER CAMPS

Ages: sessions for ages varying from 4 to 18-years-old
