Charter Doyle Park is a 27+-acre park nestled in South Knoxville off of Chapman Highway.
The park features an open green space with a backstop for baseball or softball games, as well as room for any other recreational activity.
The paved
Charter Doyle Greenway circumvents the green space, playground, shelter and tennis courts. The Mildred Doyle Nature Trail meanders through the woods in the park, providing an opportunity to get in touch with nature during a peaceful stroll.

CHARTER DOYLE PETSAFE DOG PARK
In 2011,
Charter Doyle Petsafe Dog Park was opened. Sponsored by Petsafe, the off-leash, fenced-in dog park features separate small and large dog sections, a water fountain with a spout at the canine level, and dog waste stations. The Charter Doyle Petsafe Dog Park was built as part of a $500,000 commitment to build five dog parks within the City of Knoxville and Knox County in an effort toward the initiative of making Knoxville the Most Pet Friendly Community in the nation.
HISTORY OF THE PARK
The land was generously donated in 1984 by the Doyle family to be a neighborhood park. The park is named after Charter E. Doyle who was a squire in the county government before it was reworked as county commission. Take a stroll on the Mildred Doyle Nature Trail that passes by the Doyle family cemetery. There you'll find a single military tombstone recording the life of John Doyle, dating 1748-1837. Mildred Doyle, Charter's daughter, was Superintendent of Knox County Schools from 1946-1976.

PARK RULES & REGULATIONS
1.) For the protection of our park and the safety of its users, the following are prohibited:
- No alcoholic beverages
- No open fires
- No hitting golf balls anywhere in the park
- No motorized vehicles in park
- No equestrian activity
2.) Per city ordinance, all animals must be maintained on a leash.
3.) Please be respectful of other trail users.
4.) Please help to keep our parks beautiful by disposing trash in proper receptacles.
5.) Hours - Open dawn to dusk unless otherwise posted.
