Directions: From downtown, go South on Chapman Highway about a mile past the Tennessee River & Henley Street Bridge; park is on left just after East Moody Avenue.
Sam Duff Greenway is a former track converted into a greenway. It resides in a lovely park setting. This greenway is perfect for those who enjoy running laps.
The community surrounding
Sam Duff Park has held several public meetings and the City is currently working with this community to pursue renovations of this neighborhood park.
It is the community's intention to create a more accessible entrance to the park.
Sam Duff Park is a lovely glimpse of nature just off of the commercialized Chapman Highway.
HISTORY OF THE GREENWAY
Sam A. Duff was a long-time principal of Knoxville’s former Young
High.The football field at this park was home to the Young High football
team.
