Directions:  I-40 to Exit #388 Henley Street /US-441 South. Go .2 mile towards Downtown Knoxville. Continue towards TN-62/Summit Hill Dr./Western Ave. - go 0.2 mile. Continue on 11th ST SW - go 0.2 mile. Turn left on Clinch Ave. - go 0.1 mile. Turn left on World's Fair Park Drive.


World's Fair Park

Once the site of the 1982 World's Fair, this incredible park includes miles of lawn, acres of flowers, cascading waterfalls, placid streams, and many more gifts of natural beauty create an inviting environment for festivals, performances, meetings, conferences, or a quiet moment for personal reflection. The park is also the home of the Knoxville Convention Center and the Word's Fair Exhibition Hall.

SUNSPHERE OBSERVATION DECK 

Built for the 1982 World’s Fair, the Sunsphere is a one-of-a-kind structure. The 4th Floor Observation Deck offers a breathtaking 360-degree view stretching from downtown to the Great Smoky Mountains including World’s Fair Park, the Tennessee River and the University of Tennessee Campus. A 1982 World’s Fair timeline, gallery, memorabilia and gift shop await you!

Tickets are $5 for adults; $1 for children 12 and under. Hours are Monday-Friday 10am-5pm, Saturday 9am-5pm, and Sunday 12pm-4pm.

Please note: no food or drink is allowed on the Observation Deck. Please dispose of trash prior to entering. World’s Fair Park is pet friendly, but only service animals are allowed in the Sunsphere.

PARK RULES & REGULATIONS


1.) For the protection of our park and the safety of its users, the following are prohibited:

  • No alcoholic beverages
  • No open fires
  • No hitting golf balls anywhere in the park
  • No motorized vehicles in park
  • No equestrian activity
2.) Per city ordinance, all animals must be maintained on a leash.
3.) Please be respectful of other trail users.
4.) Please help to keep our parks beautiful by disposing trash in proper receptacles.
5.) Hours - Open dawn to dusk unless otherwise posted.
