Mayor Bill Haslam will lead a Walking Tour in the Lonsdale Neighborhood on July 24 at 5:30 p.m.
Walking Tours are a convenient way for residents to let the Mayor know about issues in their neighborhood and tell him how city government is responding to their needs."The Walking Tour is an opportunity for me to meet and hear from residents in the places they value most - their homes and neighborhoods," Mayor Haslam said. The walk will begin and end at the pavilion in Lonsdale Park, which is located next door to Lonsdale Elementary School, 2705 Stonewall Street.
To reach the pavilion from downtown turn onto Western Avenue; take a right onto Tennessee Avenue; left onto Burnside Street; left onto Louisiana Avenue, which runs beside of the park.
Mayor Bill Haslam and either department heads or representatives from many city departments will take part in the walk. In the event of inclement weather, there will be a question and answer session at the pavilion - no walk.
