Safety City's Halloween in the City Set for Oct. 30

Posted: 10/15/2009
The Knoxville Police Department will host Halloween in the City on Friday, October 30th from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Safety City at 165 Concord Street between Kingston Pike and Sutherland Avenue.

The Knoxville Police Department hosts the event each year to provide a safe alternative for families on Halloween.

Festivities will include free food & beverages, costume contest, inflatables, music, carousel, games, and candy - candy - candy!

Safety City and City of Knoxville departments sponsor trick or treat booths with a game or activity.

Last year about 100,000 pieces of candy were handed out, as well as carnival-type trinkets. About 6,500 people came to last year's three-hour event.

Bring your children for an evening of fun and goodies!

Don't forget your camera!
