KAT to Observe Moment of Silence Today at Noon, June 2, 2017

Posted: 06/02/2017
No Room for HateKnoxville Area Transit (KAT), in solidarity with our fellow transit friends and colleagues at TriMet in Portland, Oregon, will honor the men who lost their lives last week on a MAX train by observing a moment of silence at noon on Friday, June 2.

KAT is asking all of its buses to stop, safety permitting, for one minute in quiet reflection.

KAT joins TriMet in paying respects and offering a small tribute to TriMet passengers Rick John Best and Taliesin Myrddin Namkai-Meche for their ultimate sacrifice, and to Micah David-Cole Fletcher as he recovers.

We honor these men who stood up against hate and represent the best in all of us.
