KUB contract crews will reduce a section of Island Home Avenue to one alternating lane of traffic between McCormick Street and the James White Parkway overpass from 9 a.m. – noon, on Wednesday, May 3, as work is performed on the water distribution system in the area.
The eastbound lane will be closed while the westbound lane remains open and is used to alternate traffic. Flaggers will be on site to assist with traffic control.
Some listed closures may extend beyond the scheduled times depending on the conditions encountered during excavation and construction. Appropriate traffic control measures will be in place at each location to assist motorists traveling in these areas. Due to the ongoing presence of workers and equipment, motorists are advised to use caution and expect temporary delays in these areas.
