Community Partnership Officers are assigned specifically to one of the Knoxville Police Department’s three Field Operations districts. The role of Community Partnership Officers is to help facilitate community engagement opportunities, establish community partnerships, and oversee public awareness and educational efforts regarding criminal activity and crime prevention measures. The CPOs also lead the department’s problem-solving policing efforts by serving as a point of contact for residents to address the unique problems that impact the neighborhoods within their district.
